Q. Which mortgage lending sectors do you see as having greatest opportunities for growth over the next 12 months?
A. I believe the whole specialist lending sector is vibrant at the moment and I can see its continued growth moving forward over the next 12 months. With more variety offered and with a lot of common sense lending I can only see it growing
Q. What advice would you give to someone starting out in the intermediary market right now?
A. Ensure you know your market and your client. Always look at the specialist market as there are many great products out there for the consumer.
Q. What do you think are the Mortgage Lender’s greatest strengths?
A. Since we have built a relationship with The Mortgage Lender we have found them to deliver on all fronts. Their service to Clever Lending has been outstanding. Product and service is key to our business and they always deliver.
Q. Any big plans for Clever Lending in the next year?
A. Yes we have some huge plans in the next year – but that would be telling. Watch this space.
Q. If you were washed up on a desert island, who in the mortgage industry would you want with you, and why?
A. I would say our very own Head of Sales – Ivan Vizor. I have known him a long time and although he supports Manchester City (everyone has their faults) he would provide the laughs and entertainment and I would ensure we ate well.
Q. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given and by who?
A. Go and get everything you want in life yourself as no one is going to get it for you. Do it without upsetting people along the way. My grandmother said this to me.
Q. What do you plan to be doing in 5 years time?
A. I believe in Clever Lending and would want to still be part of us being at the forefront of our industry I’ll just be a bit greyer!!
